Kill of the Week

The kill of the week is an interesting killmail we have found through our countless hours of reading through the killmails this past week. It could be the most expensive fit loss, the most hilarious fit loss, or a completely random because reasons!

I don’t think they liked this fit… Proteus

Feedback

I would like to preface this email by admitting that I was not the biggest fan of Hoots when I first started listening to this podcast. I usually found his commentary regarding the state of TEST Alliance often over confident and overly optimistic in typical yes man fashion. Privately, I often referred to you as the Newman of CapStable (ala Seinfeld) But I think this episode made me pause and think that I may have misjudged you.

Although I am NOT a part of TEST ( or any major Alliance for that matter) , I have been where you are and can identify with you on a few things. I haven’t had a real interest to keep up with null sec politics for some time. I was present during some of the wars in Pure blind and Delve with XxDeathxX and Morsus Mihi. On both occasions, I heard nothing but bitterness coming internally from the alliances therein. Try as I may to look for a light of optimism for rebuilding and reaffirming ourselves, I could not find any on both occasions.

My jaw about hit the floor on this last podcast when I heard you talking about things like hope, changing the community, doing what is necessary, and generally having a very humble attitude regarding the whole situation that happened in Fountain. I totally expected a different reaction out of you from T3mp3s7’s perspective and commentary. If there is a small majority within TEST that has the same attitude as you do, I have no doubt that we will see the ideal community rise again and put an end to these damn Goons.

This is an opportunity for great leadership to arise. I would encourage you and everyone in your alliance to stick with it, make the changes that are necessary, learn from what happened, and use it to become stronger. From an outsiders point of view, I would much rather continue to root for an underdog story then climb on board the CFC train because they managed to take down Bob years ago. That ship has sailed, they are too big for their own britches, and are actually complaining about having to rent out space to survive now. There’s even talk from the CFC on Podside about demanding that CCP change the mechanics for making more isk so they can continue to expand their reach and not be at risk to lose anything that they might have now.

Thank you for the breath of fresh air. You have a new fan, Hoots. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for you and TEST.
